PDF AA PRO - Disclaimer

Important information about our services

Last updated: January 2026

Please Read Carefully

PDF AA Compliance is an automated, AI-powered accessibility remediation service. While we strive for accuracy, the automated nature of our service means that final responsibility for assuring that remediated documents are suitable for their intended use, rests with you, the user.

Nature of Our Service

PDF AA Compliance provides automated PDF accessibility remediation using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. Our service is designed to:

  • Analyze PDF document structure
  • Generate alternative text descriptions for images
  • Create document structure tags for accessibility
  • Identify and remediate common accessibility issues
  • Provide validation scores and compliance assessments

Key Disclaimers

1. No Guarantee of Compliance or Fitness for Purpose

While PDF AA Compliance remediates documents to meet accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA, PDF/UA-1, Section 508, and ADA requirements, we do not guarantee that remediated documents will achieve full compliance with any particular standard or pass all accessibility testing tools. Our goal is to provide quality document accessibility for all with an up to 80% cost reduction compared to legacy remediation methods. We do not know your goal(s) in remediating these documents and as the user you need to assess whether our service meets your goal(s).

2. AI-Generated Content Limitations

Alternative text descriptions, document structure analysis, and other AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate descriptions. AI systems, while sophisticated, cannot perfectly interpret all visual content or document structures.

3. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for reviewing remediated documents before publishing or distributing them. This includes verifying:

  • Accuracy of alternative text descriptions
  • Correctness of document structure and reading order
  • Appropriateness of heading levels
  • Table structure accuracy
  • Overall accessibility compliance for your specific requirements

4. Validation and Certification

Our validation scores and compliance certificates reflect the assessment of our automated systems at the time of processing. These should not be relied upon as definitive proof of accessibility compliance for legal or regulatory purposes.

5. Complex Documents

Documents with complex layouts, mathematical equations, scientific notation, multilingual content, or specialized formatting may require additional manual review and remediation beyond what our automated service can provide.

Service Limitations

PDF AA Compliance may not be suitable for:

  • Documents requiring legally certified accessibility compliance
  • Highly complex technical or scientific documents
  • Documents with extensive mathematical formulas
  • Documents in languages with limited AI support
  • Documents where incorrect accessibility could cause significant harm
  • Documents with non-standard or corrupt PDF structures

Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

SO DESIGN AND BRANDING PTY LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Loss of data or business interruption
  • Any other matter relating to the Service

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the six (6) months preceding the claim.
